DIALOGUE AS A SECURITY FACTOR

Professor of the University of San Pablo-Madrid Antonio Alonso has spoken about the continuity in the state policy of Uzbekistan with its focus on accelerating the reforms.

In his article, the scholar reported a dramatic improvement in the life of Uzbek people through the study of their opinions. As an example, the Spanish scientist cited the elaboration and approval of the Strategy of Actions along five priority areas for the development of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021, where special attention is paid to the needs of citizens, the current legislation was critically analyzed and international practice was studied.

The Spanish academic believes that maintaining an open dialogue between the state and society, reforming the judicial system and strong social policy will ensure security in the country and peaceful coexistence in the region.

The decisions taken by the country's leadership, according to Antonio Alonso, facilitate the enhancement of constructive cooperation with foreign states, including Spain. In this context, he recalls that the ties of the two states have centuries-old roots that go back to the Middle Ages. This foundation is a significant factor in filling cooperation with new substance. In this regard, the scholar says that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and over the past period, regular political dialogue has been established at various levels. However, in such areas as tourism, energy and environmental protection, there is much unrealized potential. The scientist hopes that the initiatives of the Uzbek leader will afford a powerful impetus to bilateral bonds.
